HabitPress
A private habit tracker with quick check-ins, streaks, reminders, and no account or subscription.
The problem
Many habit trackers ask for an account, a recurring subscription, or more attention than the habit itself. Personal routines should not require handing over personal data.
The motivation
I wanted a tracker that was quick to open, private by default, and pleasant enough to use every day without becoming another system to maintain.
The approach
HabitPress keeps the loop direct: open the app, mark progress, and move on. Everything important stays on the device, and optional reminders support the routine without turning into pressure.
What shipped
- Fast daily habit check-ins and visible streaks.
- Gentle reminders controlled by the user.
- Themes and a personal motivation label.
- Daily quotes and shareable progress cards.
- No account and no collected data.
- A one-time unlock instead of a subscription.
Status and lessons
HabitPress is available on the App Store. It is an experiment in making privacy and restraint part of the product rather than copy added after the product is built.
