Boulder Log

Photograph a boulder, mark its holds, predict your attempts and keep a climbing log. Share the climb with a friend.

I wanted a way to remember a climb from a photo: which holds belong to it, what I thought it would take, and how the attempts actually went.

Boulder Log lets you mark holds directly on your photos, record the grade and styles, and make a prediction before you start. Your attempts and notes build up around the climb.

Send someone a boulder

A climb is also something you might want to send to a friend. Boulder Log packages the photos, hold outlines and details into a .boulder file. Send it through Messages, email, WhatsApp or AirDrop; the recipient can preview it and add it to their own log.

A shared climb with marked holds, ready to add to a personal boulder log.
A shared climb, ready for your own prediction.

Sharing works without a Boulder Log backend. The recipient gets their own copy and starts their own climbing history.

Keep your collection

The app stores your collection on your device. You can export a complete backup as well as share individual boulders.

Boulder Log is available on the App Store. Visit the app website for more about it.
